England v. Germany
We had high hopes of beating the Germans to qualify for the quarter finals of the World Cup 2010, but it just wasn't to be.
Fun in the sun
The hottest day of the year so far was spent at promanade park in Maldon.
Lee of course had to get in on the act too, and Alexander was happy to play ball...
After a quick trip to the school bootsale first thing in the hope of finding some Batman goodies for Nicholas, we went to pick Alexander up from Mum's as he'd had a TWO night sleep over.
We made it to Maldon early and in time to buy the kids wrist bands for the splash park.
It was the first time that Cassie had been to Prom Park and very much enjoyed it.
The boys being veteran's just ran in and out of the splash area for an entire hour (two session worth)!

Lion's and tigers and bears oh my!
Despite one of our offspring being away for first thing Sunday, we had planned a special family day at Colchester Zoo once we had picked Alex up from camp.
The weather held and it was really nice just wondering around as it wasn't too crowded despite our thoughts that it would be, what with it being Daddies' day and all...
The big animals were the ones the boys really wanted to see (that and the dragons) and we were lucky as the rhino's, giraffe's and zebra were all out in force..

Eager Beaver
Alex was so excited to be going and he wasn't disappointed by the weekend (or the day and one night sleep over) and even got his evening hot chocolate drink.
He had such a good time that not only did he complete the assult course TWICE, but wants to go back again already :)
My thanks to his Leader Sue (above) for taking such good care of my special boy.

Twins!!
ENGLAND !!!
Alexander's year 1 class - Snakes, had their class assembly today and their theme was the World Cup.
All the kids looked brilliant in their white tops and red shorts (thanks to the school PE kit)! and it was a brilliant assembly. All the kids remembered their lines and Alex was thrilled to be one of the 3 kids that held up the St George's flag.
