England v. Germany

We had high hopes of beating the Germans to qualify for the quarter finals of the World Cup 2010, but it just wasn't to be.

The kids however all had a GREAT time eating ice creams and playing in the new pool that Rachel and Iain only bought today....

Fun in the sun

The hottest day of the year so far was spent at promanade park in Maldon.

After a quick trip to the school bootsale first thing in the hope of finding some Batman goodies for Nicholas, we went to pick Alexander up from Mum's as he'd had a TWO night sleep over.

We made it to Maldon early and in time to buy the kids wrist bands for the splash park.

It was the first time that Cassie had been to Prom Park and very much enjoyed it.

The boys being veteran's just ran in and out of the splash area for an entire hour (two session worth)!

Lee of course had to get in on the act too, and Alexander was happy to play ball...

Lion's and tigers and bears oh my!

Despite one of our offspring being away for first thing Sunday, we had planned a special family day at Colchester Zoo once we had picked Alex up from camp.

The weather held and it was really nice just wondering around as it wasn't too crowded despite our thoughts that it would be, what with it being Daddies' day and all...

The kids were all fascinated by the squirrel monkeys as they jump really fast!

The big animals were the ones the boys really wanted to see (that and the dragons) and we were lucky as the rhino's, giraffe's and zebra were all out in force..

The elephants are one of my favourties..

After a good few hours, Alex started to flag - not surprising really as he hadn't gone to bed until 10pm the night before, so after an ice cream pit stop, we headed for home.

Another scrapbook page coming up...

Eager Beaver

Alexander joined the Beavers back in January and he spent this weekend at "Camp" - at the Scouts activity camp Belchamps. Brought back memories for me as when I was younger and a girl guide, I too went to Belchamps!

Alex was so excited to be going and he wasn't disappointed by the weekend (or the day and one night sleep over) and even got his evening hot chocolate drink.

He had such a good time that not only did he complete the assult course TWICE, but wants to go back again already :)

My thanks to his Leader Sue (above) for taking such good care of my special boy.

Brothers in Arms

I've always said that I don't think the boys look alike, but I have to admit, I can see what everyone else see's now....!!

Twins!!

Many many congrat's to our good friends Mark and Fani who became parents yesterday to identical twin boys - Paul and Michael.

Both weighing in well at 6lb 6oz and 4lb 14oz. Everyone a little tired, but happy.

Now the fun begins with double the trouble!!!!

ENGLAND !!!

Alexander's year 1 class - Snakes, had their class assembly today and their theme was the World Cup.

All the kids looked brilliant in their white tops and red shorts (thanks to the school PE kit)! and it was a brilliant assembly. All the kids remembered their lines and Alex was thrilled to be one of the 3 kids that held up the St George's flag.

Mum and I were proud as punch of our little man!

Wooooosh!!!

It was a gorgeous day during half term last week when Dawn and Tara brought Andie, Max and Lennon up for the day.

Not sure how much bashing the ole water meter took, but the amount of fun the kids had was worth it!

The new woosh slide was definitely a big hit!!

Roll on August down in Dawn's HUGE garden - especially as they're not water metered!!!

Our beautiful baby girl

Just how gorgeous is she?!?!?!?!

Lee and I took all the kids down to Kent the other weekend to visit Lisa, Greg and the twins and whilst playing in the garden, Greg managed to capture this perfect shot of Cassandra...

Scrap, scrap and more scrap...

Sunday - only one and bit days to go and I get to drive down to Kent on my own to spend the WHOLE day scrapbooking!!!

Total Papercrafts are putting on the event and I've booked and already paid for all 6 classes!!!!!

Don't get me wrong, it's not that I've haven't enjoyed the boys being off school for half term, but I think I'm so due some "me time"!!!!!

BRING IT ON!!!
