Renewal of Promise
Time does indeed fly...
So, another of my beastie's is another year older... Not sure I'm enjoying this getting older lark...
Cassandra, my darling girlie is now the grand old age of 7...
Still loves her baby dolls (a "New Generation" one this year)
Still loves her brothers?!
I'm assured by numerous other parents that they all had a brilliant time. Happy days!

And definately loves her new pogo stick!
This year Cassandra had said that she wanted to have a gymnastics party, so her and 30 other children all went over to the Basildon Sporting Village to have some fun, actually on her birthday on Saturday.
LOVE my little monkey loads!

Bobbing about on the water!
Alexander has never been into sports - in any way whatsoever.
He has however, always liked "messing around on the river"!So today, he and I went over to Two Tree Island and under guidance from a qualified and experienced 'sailor'/instructor, we went out onto the water and learned to kayak!
It was a lovely day, albeit a tad cold towards the end of the afternoon, but both Alex and I had a great time and he will be awarded 'Time on the Water' and 'Paddle Sports II' at Scouts tomorrow.
Happy days!
Football turns pink!

Scrappy Friends challenge!
Mum has been away this week at a friend's house and I've been really busy with my OU essay, but I did manage to get this layout done of Cassandra and the Fairy Garden Mum bought her for Christmas.
I'm entering this into the Scrappy Friends Challenge which comprises: Grand Diva's sketch challenge (I went with top left sketch as I like flags),
Rochelle Spears' This or That April challenge (I try to use some form of journal card on most of my layouts - even if I don't actually write on it)
and Creating with Paper and More mood board challenge - my inspiration came from all of the lovely spring colours.
Phew!
Plenty of time still to enter as challenges don't close until end of April!

Trial mud run...
Last weekend the kids and I (Lee as designated official photographer) together with Martyna, Kevin and Millie ran around Belchamps, taking part in their mud run. The distinct lack of mud however, made it more of a fun run than anything else..
Everyone finieshed though, some with more impressive runs than others in that Cassandra and I did only did 4km whereas Alexander and Nicholas did 8km!!!!
A good trial run for Nuclear Rookies in a month or so!
