Tando Creative - Easter

Over at Tando Creative, their theme is Easter and although I'm a little behind on my Easter photos, I managed to get this one finished.
The kids look so young, but they still have their love of Easter eggs!

Scrap it with a Song!

One of the songs this month at Scrap It With A Song is Robbie Williams “Angels”.

I love doing layouts from songs but don’t seem to actually do them very much.  But, I was inspired by the line "The places where we go…."  My husband went to Africa a couple of years ago on safari with his Dad and brother-in-law and I've just got round to scrapping his photos for a whole album.
I've personally travelled alot, America and Australia being my favourite destinations but Lee took some amazing photos and when “we’re grey and old” (another song line) we can look back at the places we have been.

It's gone

After a good few months of sweat and tears, to my complete relief and joy, I posted off to my tutor (first time ever, as all essays normally get submitted on line) my research project.  Was an interesting time - as I chose to look at the thoughts of being a middle child and how the position within a family affects a sense of self and identity.

This was a big one.  Getting closer now, After 8 years of studying, I have two more essays to go and an exam and then I can graduate..  WOOP!

Both Lee and I think the world of our Mum's so took the opportunity to take them both out to dinner today - to Grumpy's!

Before that though, Lee and Nicholas were at a football match and Alexander, Cassandra, Mum and I were all at Church Parade...

Jump around....!

A new trampoline park has recently opened up in Rayleigh and when Lisa, Greg, Hannah and Robert came over to see us the other weekend, I booked tickets and we all went to see what all the fuss was about.

 ALL the kids LOVED IT!

From trampolines, to sponge pits and air cushions to dodgeball areas and ropes it was just so much fun..

 Nicholas' impression of Superman!
Brillant place, can't recommend it enough..

World Book Day 2016

This year, for World Book Day Cassandra decided that as we've been watching Supergirl that's who she wanted to go as. (So much for a book character)!

and Nicholas settled on Willy Wonka!!

Half term Fun...

I'd been wanting to go up to London and visit HMS Belfast, the huge ship for ages, so I got myself organised this year by cashing in some Tesco vouchers for entrance and also grabbing a Groupon bargain with a boat ride along the Thames and on the Monday of half term, Mum and I took the 3 beasties up to London...
We were up bright and early and caught the first train after 9am up to Fenchurch St and then walked over Tower Bridge to the ship..

They all loved wondering around the ship although I don't think I could of been a sailor, too confined for my liking!

We all loved the big guns!
Captain Alexander
and First Officer Cassandra
although Nicholas had to go to sick bay as he was feeling sea sick!

A hop on/hop off ticket to one of the river boats allowed us to go up to Westminser and I'm sure Lee is very proud of my artsy/fartsy photo with Big Ben and the family!
Finishing off with KFC before catching the train home ensured a great first day to the holiday!
