Sketches in Thyme Sketch challenge #383 - Steps
I thought the sketch over at Sketches in Thyme was quite a simple one this month so as I have an awful lot of project life cards, I decided to take part in the GoGo Challenge at the same time and complete a layout mainly using them. I'm quite pleased with the results!
Challenge runs until 31st August 2019

Rochelle Spears Scrapbooking: August Sketch Challenge - First day, last day
Due to the kids being off school, I'm not getting that much time to scrap, but I did manage to complete this sketch challenge this week.
This challenge runs until the end of the month

I was fortunate that Alex humours me and lets me take his picture so I can mark historic events in his life. I love this first day last day layout of him... He'll soon be finishing secondary school....
This challenge runs until the end of the month

A day out with Mum
I always try to spend some time with mum and the kids over the holidays and so on Monday, we all ventured down to the seafront to spend the day in the Sealife Centre.
I love the jellyfish (especially the upside down ones)
Not sure Cassie was too impressed with the sting rays though!
As it was just pouring with rain, we didn't end up playing mini golf - have to save that for another day, but we did all go for lunch as Mum's favourite pub - the Walnut Tree. We did however fail the Brain Freeze Challenge!

And the seahorses.

Pony Camp
Last year Cassandra was very much enjoying riding Ashdene Primrose and entered on her at Great Oaks Pony camp. This year she's been having lessons at Runningwell and as she was old enough, attended residential Pony Camp there.
The Mum's had all got together and had a polo shirt made up for them all, Cassandra included.3 days of riding, jumping, dressage and cross country culminating in a competition on the final day.
Although she didn't do as well as she had done on Prim, she came home with quite a few rosettes and some more great memories.
The beautiful Lakes
So this year our summer holiday was spent up north way in the Lake District. We hired a lovely apartment from Sally's Cottages in Applethwaite and from there was able to drive around to the various places we wanted to visit.
We hiked, we climbed, we saw waterfalls and amazing views. There was much time for photography..
And we even ALL managed to take part in the high ropes course!
We visited Lee's favourite shop in Hawkshead
Had lots of tea and cake...
Took a ride on the Ravenglass & Eskdale railway...
Visited Mucaster Castle...
We even went to Cathedral Caves!
It rained, but it was also sunny and above all, great memories were made.

Sketch n Scrap Challenge #138 - Just Do It!
I thought I did quite well with these photos of Cassandra trying out skiing for the first time at the SnoDome in Hemel Hempstead in 2016. We all had a few lessons there just before we went on our skiing holiday to Bulgaria.
I just squeezed an extra photo on the layout!
Challenge has only just started, so all month to enter
