Scrap our Stash: September Sketch Challenge - Our Boy

Scrap our Stash have a sketch and letter challenge running.  The idea being that you have to use something on your layout beginning with each letter of the word LEARN.

So I used... L - Letters and Layers.  E - Echo Park papers, This and That collection. A - Arrow.  R - Rhinestones and Rub-on (under the date). N - Numbers (on the paper by the arrow and in the date).

Let's Get Sketchy - September 15 Challenge - Chicks

I'm not a minimalistic kind of scrapper and find one small photo challenges quite hard, but I took inspiration from Brenshevia's sketch and came up with the layout below of Cassandra and Alex a few years ago (still behind on my scrappin') when we were at a fete with newborn chicks on show. 

I just enlarged everything!

It's a girl hair thing...

Cassandra is now 8 and I'll be honest in that I've never really been able to do her hair in lovely ways like some of her friends.

No longer!  I've enrolled myself on a hair course and so last week and this week Cassie has gone to school with her hair in a French plait and today Dutch braids!

Get me!!!

The Scrapbook Room - Freaky Fast Formula challenge - Bundle!

I've never done this before, but I just absolutely LOVE this idea of being given paper measurements - makes things soo much easier and fun!

So the idea is to use the measurements on papers given and then create a layout with them.

I really enjoyed doing this and will so be taking part in the challenge again.

So another day spent scrappin' at Mum's meant that I managed to complete a few more challenges..

I used the sketch from Sketch n Scrap for this layout of Cassandra.  I'm trying to fill my scrapbook gaps and this one goes back to 2012 - when she was only 3!

I was quite pleased I managed to colour co-ordinate the papers and flowers to her dress!

Lee's birthday...

Today was Lee's birthday and I know my hubby well, although Alex nearly fought me in giving this awesome Lego set to Lee as he wanted it for himself!

After the football team's match this morning, and Cassandra's new dancing, we all ventured into town to have yummy dessert at Creams.

Me, I had a cup of tea!

Sketches in Thyme - Sketch 291: Winner at swimming!

So I haven't scrapped for quite a while, but after spending today scrappin' with my Mum, I think I've got a little of my mojo back.

I do like a sketch, get's my creativity flowing, so I thought I'd try a layout using the sketch 291 by Shawn Lahr over at Sketches in Thyme.

I've been going through my scrapbooks (as I scrap in date order) and trying to fill in the gaps, and this is what I created today of my middle child - Nicholas.  He's an awesome athlete and I took this of him when he got back to school after representing Blenheim in the Interschools Swim Gala.

Challenge doesn't end until end of September, so plenty of time to get crafting
