It's been a while since I attended a scrapbooking retreat, but this weekend I did as I was at Nikki's GoGo Day Away up in St Albans.
This weekend was all about adding texture to layouts and I had quite good fun experimenting with texture paint on all of my layouts.
That's another 7 I can cross off my list as done!

Scrapbooking
I really haven't had much time to scrap since coming back from Florida with Mum back in April and my mojo has done a runner.
However, I'm going to a weekend Scrapbook retreat with GoGo Getaway this weekend and I'm trying to get my inspiration back. To do this, I saw that GoGo has a quote challenge running on Facebook and I loved the quote. I had just the right photo to go with it too.
As much as I love my 3 wonderful beasties - lots, by the end of the 6 weeks summer hols we are all looking forward to them returning to school. But then I miss having them around!

Proud Mummy moment!
Crafty Clogs
So for those that don't know, Mum and I have got together and have been busy making amazing Christams gifts.
We are going under the awesome name of "Crafty Clogs" and we attended our first craft fair on Sunday at the Mill Hall in Rayleigh. We had a little helper, as Cassandra was desperate to come along too.
Wasn't as busy as we would have liked, but we did well and we are looking forward to the next one which will be back at the Mill Hall in Rayleigh, on Sunday, 4th November 2018 10-4pm, this time in aid of the Cats Protection League.
Please come along and support us - you may find a gift for a loved one!

First day back
So not only did all 3 beasties survive the summer holidays this year, but I did too and all too soon (?) they are all back to school.
Alexander is 6f3", 14 years old and in Year 10. Working towards his GCSEs this year.
Nicholas, football crazy as ever is now in Year 8 (2nd year of Secondary to us oldies).
And Cassandra, who has her first ever male teacher this year, goes back into Year 5.
Work hard my sprogletts!

Warhammer 40K
Up in the Lakes..
This year I really didn't want to go hiking in the rain again, so Lee and Nicholas went up to the Lake District for a long weekend.
Being the fittest of the family, they were able to many walks and hikes with ease..
even in the rain!
And they made it to the top of a few big 'hills' too!
