ENGLAND !!!

Alexander's year 1 class - Snakes, had their class assembly today and their theme was the World Cup.

All the kids looked brilliant in their white tops and red shorts (thanks to the school PE kit)! and it was a brilliant assembly. All the kids remembered their lines and Alex was thrilled to be one of the 3 kids that held up the St George's flag.

Mum and I were proud as punch of our little man!

Wooooosh!!!

It was a gorgeous day during half term last week when Dawn and Tara brought Andie, Max and Lennon up for the day.

Not sure how much bashing the ole water meter took, but the amount of fun the kids had was worth it!

The new woosh slide was definitely a big hit!!

Roll on August down in Dawn's HUGE garden - especially as they're not water metered!!!

Our beautiful baby girl

Just how gorgeous is she?!?!?!?!

Lee and I took all the kids down to Kent the other weekend to visit Lisa, Greg and the twins and whilst playing in the garden, Greg managed to capture this perfect shot of Cassandra...

Total Papercrafts are putting on the event and I've booked and already paid for all 6 classes!!!!!

Don't get me wrong, it's not that I've haven't enjoyed the boys being off school for half term, but I think I'm so due some "me time"!!!!!

Walk for Life!

Race for Life is fast approaching - Sunday actually, and due to my knee injury, I'm going to walk it not run, but am also determined to complete the 5k.

From my personal perspective, I was so saddened at the loss of my Grandad who died of cancer but his last weeks were made a little more comfortable due the care and dedication of the McMillan nurses that came to see and assist him every day. My Mother-in-law's sister also died of this terrible illness last week...

I'm attending the Southend Race for Life 5k on Sunday, 23rd May 2010. If you're around in Southend around 11am, please come along to Garons and cheer me on!

I'd like to ask that if you could spare a few pennies, that you please help me to reach my target and maybe exceed the £150 I'm aiming for. It's really easy to sponsor me (the wonders of technology) just click on the link below.

Many thanks!!!

Photos after the event will be posted - will also make for a good scrapbook layout!!

Ugh!

Alex went to his friend Dylan's birthday party last weekend. Kelly had arranged an "Animal Encounters" party in her back garden.

Safe to say I was pleased it was a "drop them and go" event as staying around to see lizards, snakes, cockroaches and giant snails, is really not my thing....

Alex on the other hand - loved it.

The baby hedgehog and the hawk being his favourites!

A big boy at 6!

I can't believe that last week Alexander turned 6. What's that about?

Alex wanted to go to Marsh Farm for his birthday treat this year so he chose 8 friends and off we all went on the Sunday before his birthday.

Despite the fact that it totally hammered it down all day, the kids seemed to enjoy themselves!??

They all got to feed the sheep, chickens and cows and got to hold various animals in the Pet barn. Alex wasn't too sure about the ferret though!

One highlight was a ride on the tractor and trailer which they all loved.

Personally I think the eating of his chocolate birthday cake was Alex's favourite bit!

Many thanks to Mum for coming along and also to Michelle who stayed with Cassie whilst we were all on the tractor!
