ATDML - Purr

The Alphabet Challenge over at ATDML this month is the letter 'K'.  Inspiration ideas as stated below:

So I went with Kittens - This photo was taken of Elsa and Toys our two gorgeous black panther's that we got from the Cats Protection League back in 2014.  They'll still sit on my lap all snuggled up...

Challenge can be found here, but layouts tobe uploaded to their FaceBook page.

Scrap the Girls - Best Friends Forever

Loved the inspiration photo over at Scrap the Girls this month...
First thing that I thought of was two old ladies that had been friends for ages...  So using that inspiration, I found some photos of my daughter and her friends that I took at one of her class assemblies back in 2014.
I'm pleased to say that Cassie is actually still friends with these girls 5 years on.

Challenge runs for a while yet...

Let's Get Sketchy - Spread your wings

So taking full advantage of having a bit of time on my hands this afternoon, I used this gorgeous photo of Cassie for the challenge over at Let's Get Sketchy!
I flipped the doiley the other way, due to the paper I used, but I'm really quite pleased with how it came out.
Lots of time still to enter - challenge can be found here:

Let's Scrap Sketches - Belchamps Mud Run

So I had a rare span of time on my hands today and as I'm working my way through my double layouts, I thought I'd take inspiration from the sketch over at Let's Scrap Sketches.

I pretty much kept to the sketch, but then covered most of it up with photos!! Story of my life!

Challenge is open until end of June

C.R.A.F.T Challenge - Cassandra's entry!

Over at C.R.A.F.T Challenge, their challenge this month is anything creative that is not a card.  They also have a younger person's section, so Cassandra who has been getting more into her scrapbooking recently decided to enter.
I printed this recent photo of her and Prim off, and then she sat for ages going through all my odd papers (as this is an 8x8" page) and embellishments.
This was the inspiration that she used, the colour red.

She's so pleased with the end result that she doesn't want to put it her her scrapbook, but wants it framed to put on the wall in her room.

This is the link to the challenge:

Stick it Down - I'm Guest Designer!!

Last month I won the privilege to be GD over at Stick it Down for the month of June.
I had the following sketch to work from and as I ALWAYS have loads of photos of any specific event to scrap, it was perfect.
June Double Page Sketch
I have recently found myself the owner of a number of reels of washi tape, which is something that is not usually on my layouts, but I thought I’d give them a try, hence the corner washi tape strips.

I’m also playing around with mixed media at the moment, so I used some texture paste and a Tim Holtz mask too.

Hope this gives some inspiration!

Family - Sketches in Thyme Sketch Challenge #374

I think I've only ever scrapped one other 8x10” photo and I found that extremely difficult, which is why when I saw the challenge at Sketches in Thyme to use an 8x10" photo I thought of this one that my Father-in-Law gave me a year or so ago.
I used my collection of emoji papers  and pretty much kept to the sketch.

Challenge runs until the end of May:

Sugar and Spice - Stick it Down Single page challenge

I've been meaning to scrap these two small photos of Cassie and her friends for ages, and this sketch challenge for May over at Stick it Down worked well for them.
Cassie has always loved dressing up, so when one of her school friends' had a Star Wars themed birthday party, her and another friend, Emma, went as Princess Leia and Rey, complete with lightsabres (although Leia never actually used one in the films).

Challenge only runs until the end of the month
