A new pony..

Cassandra has been fulfilling her wish of horse riding for quite a while now, on a wonderful pony called Ashdene Primrose - Prims for short.

She loves her, completed Pony Camp in the summer on her and rides her twice a week.  However, Prims has been quite poorly and her owner has decided to retire her until next Spring.  Cassie is of course devastated, but she still wants to ride.

So.... we went through the process of trying to find her another loan pony and we've settle on a lovely boy called Eddie!

 She had her first lesson on him yesterday where he's stabled at Dollyman's Farm, Wickford way.

Not only did she trot him, she cantered too.

I hope this will be the start of another good relationship!

Time on the water

I'm so pleased that Alexander decided to stay on to Explorers after Scouts, as he went paddleboarding with them the other week to Skreens.

 He finally managed to stand up on the board and paddle around the lake!

Good times.

GoGo!

It's been a while since I attended a scrapbooking retreat, but this weekend I did as I was at Nikki's GoGo Day Away up in St Albans.

This weekend was all about adding texture to layouts and I had quite good fun experimenting with texture paint on all of my layouts.

That's another 7 I can cross off my list as done!

Scrapbooking

I really haven't had much time to scrap since coming back from Florida with Mum back in April and my mojo has done a runner.

However, I'm going to a weekend Scrapbook retreat with GoGo Getaway this weekend and I'm trying to get my inspiration back.  To do this, I saw that GoGo has a quote challenge running on Facebook and I loved the quote.  I had just the right photo to go with it too.  

As much as I love my 3 wonderful beasties - lots, by the end of the 6 weeks summer hols we are all looking forward to them returning to school.  But then I miss having them around!

He doesn't win it very often now as he's the team's only goalie, but was so so proud of Nicholas at the weekend - Man of the Match trophy was his!!!

Crafty Clogs

So for those that don't know, Mum and I have got together and have been busy making amazing Christams gifts.

We are going under the awesome name of "Crafty Clogs" and we attended our first craft fair on Sunday at the Mill Hall in Rayleigh.  We had a little helper, as Cassandra was desperate to come along too.

Wasn't as busy as we would have liked, but we did well and we are looking forward to the next one which will be back at the Mill Hall in Rayleigh, on Sunday, 4th November 2018 10-4pm, this time in aid of the Cats Protection League.

So so proud of Alexander, he has decided to continue his scouting journey and was invested into Phoenix Explorer Unit last Monday along with his bud George.

It's all about the mud!

So despite doing it a few years ago, Cassandra wanted to take part in the Rookies Nuclear race this year with her best bud Millie.

 

 She LOVED IT!!!
