First day back

So not only did all 3 beasties survive the summer holidays this year, but I did too and all too soon  (?) they are all back to school.
Alexander is 6f3", 14 years old and in Year 10.  Working towards his GCSEs this year.
Nicholas, football crazy as ever is now in Year 8 (2nd year of Secondary to us oldies).
And Cassandra, who has her first ever male teacher this year, goes back into Year 5.

Work hard my sprogletts!

Up in the Lakes..

This year I really didn't want to go hiking in the rain again, so Lee and Nicholas went up to the Lake District for a long weekend.

Being the fittest of the family, they were able to many walks and hikes with ease..

 even in the rain!

And they made it to the top of a few big 'hills' too!

DC Legends of Tomorrow

I do so love a good deal and I managed to secure the family tickets to go and see the DC Legends of Tomorrow exhibition up at the 02 through Little Bird.

Being HUGE DC and Marvel fans, it just had to be done...

From original outfits, to the latest ones..

 They had them all!

We are such a family of Geeks!

It's all about the riding...

The highlight of Cassandra's summer hols this year had to have been her week taking part in Pony Camp!
She's been riding a wonderful pony called Primrose Ashdene (Prim for short) owned by a lovely lady called Alison who has been such a great support to Cassie and I and encouraged her to enter camp.

She spent the first 3 days practicing and learning dressage, cross country and jumping..

Her confidence went through the roof.. until she fell off, but she got straight back on and carried on riding - great stuff!

Competition day came around and the first time I saw her in her official outfit I cried!!

She did absolutely amazing on Prim with two 1st, 2nd, 3rd and two 4th!!!!!

I think she may have found her "thing"!!!

Awwww....

We normally spend some days out with Mum every summer and one of those days Mum took us all on a boat ride to see some seals!!!

It was a tad cold, but we all wrapped up warm..

Some of the seals had recently had some pups and they were so cute!

Although I have to admit that some seals look like overgrown slugs when they try and move!
Great day out - thanks Mum!
