Having tea and cake!

Most people know that for the last two years I've been volunteering at my local Food Bank.  I enjoy the fact that I can help others in need and enjoy spending time with my fellow volunteers.

On Sunday a few of us were chosen to represent Trussel Trust and the Food Bank by celebrating 3 years of being open in Southend.  We got to attend at Porters House and have tea and cake with the Mayor!

I then managed to get everyone from our Distribution centre together for a photo.

It's great to be appreciated.

Good times.

Me & Mine and Country View Challenge

This was the second layout I managed to complete at Mum's today, for the sketch challenge at Me and Mine.
Nicholas has that smile that just lights up the room and he really is my shining star!

Challenge ends on 30th November, so plenty of time to enter.

Heartbreaker

I spent most of today scrappin' at Mum's and managed 3 layouts!  One is for the sketch challenge at Grand Diva.  This is one of my all time favourite photos of Alexander... I just LOVE his smile.  I really do think he's going to be a heartbreaker some day!

Challenge ends 29th November..

I'm also entering this to Rochelle's "This or That Challenge" as I've used wood on my layout.

Paper Issues challenge

I've never entered the Take 5 Tuesday challenge over at Paper Issues, but thought I'd give it a try this week.
Out of the list given, you have to use 5 things... I used cardstock, something shinny (the butterfly), I have a bow, I used more than one photo and I have a title.

Challenge can be found here!

Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge

The challenge over at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge is to use a piece of jigsaw on a layout.
I used a large piece that I inked on the bottom left of my layout.

Plenty of time to enter as closing date isn't until the end of the month.

Life in a Snapshot

November's 2nd challenge over at "Life in a snapshot" is a sketch.  And I had the perfect photos to scrap of my eldest son at his school's Jubilee celebrations a few years ago (I'm a bit behind)!

Plenty of time to enter as the closing date is at the end of this month.

Wooop!

Double Whammy on Friday as Cassandra came home and announced she'd been finally made a free reader at school!
 AND.....
Nicholas came home proudly wearing his Reading Champion pin that he was awarded for reading every week with lower year children.

Proud Mummy moments..

Go Blenheim!

Last week Nicholas played in goal in a tournament for his school team over at Allayn Court.
They may not of got through, but they put up a good fight and all had fun
Us parents on the other hand - froze whilst cheering them on!
