GoGo Getaway

Although I was very disappointed to miss one of my best friends birthday's, I spent a WONDERFUL weekend with Mum in Theobalds Park, last weekend at Scrap-a-Go-Go's 10th retreat.

Unlike Mum who had a bit of a nightmare with her photos, the ones that I'd taken fitted brilliantly with my chosen classes and I was very pleased with the end results.

My first class on Friday night - "The Heat is On" by Rebekah, involved the technique of melting crayons - and this school pic of the three kids starting at school last September was just perfect...

A pic of Cassandra in one of her dressing up outfits went lovely on Sam's "French Fancy" page for my second class..
Sheena's "Papillon Punk" class Saturday afternoon was one of my fav's as the use of all the little nuts/bolts/ metal embellishments was just fabby to create a more feminine page.  The pic of myself and my good friends Dawn and Tara all dressed up as Saloon girls was perfect..

I had another of Sam's classes late Saturday afternoon "Nature's Trappings", the concept being weaving of thread and the pics of our family day out to Hockley Woods back in October completed this layout for me.

Rebekah's Saturday evening class was a pretty easy one, using the concept of finger painting, but the pic of Nicholas and his playdoh bugs went brilliantly on this layout.

Pam's Sunday morning class for me was "Up, Up and Away" and although I didn't actually do the moving balloon concept, the theme was all about achievement, so Alex's success at a karate competition in 2011 was another suitable pic.

My last class was another of Rebekah's (I'm kind of seeing a trend here) and we had to create some fimo apples.  However mine didn't quite look like apples or turn out correctly, so I just left them off!  I love how this layout of Cassandra's first day at Pre-school turned out though..

I also managed to complete quite a few other layouts over the weekend - Cogs being the theme of this one of Nicholas and his friend Jack McCardle.
One of Lee's birthday gifts was an indoor sky-diving lesson, so this was next on my list to be scrapped..
And a bit of bling completed this layout of Cassandra.
Cassie's best bud last year was the little girl over the road - Lexi Garrett and they had spent many a happy afternoon playing together.  I manged to use some themed printed papers that were not my usual thing on these two layouts of the girls..

A layout of Lee that I completed to enter one of the sketch/particular range challenges made him happy when I got home, and I've also subsequently entered this into another blog challenge too :)
along with this challenge layout to use the photo of the whole group of ladies at GoGo this year.
This layout was a pre-getaway challenge to only use 10 things.  I found this one very hard to do as it goes!  However, my ticket was pulled out, so the effort was worth it!
This was another sketch challenge that I entered whereby you had to use something from a certain range in the shop.  I was thrilled when my ticket was again pulled out of the bag!
Loved the RicRac I used on this one of Alex
This was one of Lorraine's class kits from last year (although it doesn't look anything like her original) - but I thought the pictures of Cassandra when she first started potty training went very well!
My last layout I completed was this awesome pic of the boys that is just a "right time, right place, right moment" photo that Lee took.  It was just crying out to be scrapped.

I had a brilliant weekend with some great ladies.  Thanks as usual go to Lorraine, Janice and the GoGo girls for another creative and fun filled weekend.
